TILLBROOK HOUSE ‐ 17 BURKINSHAW RD.

Robert Tillbrook had 8 children to Jane Look at Smith's Mill. Adelaide was Robert and Jane’s eldest daughter. In 1909 she married George Henry Ranger, always known as 'Harry', who was born in Victoria in 1882. The couple lived on Coulston Rd, Darlington in the original Waylen Darlington Vineyard cottages, which Harry renovated into the stone house pictured. He ran a dairy and was a wood contractor. The Tillbrook family thus became part of Darlington's history.

Robert Tillbrook's death, as reported in the 'Swan Express' of 24 March, 1910. The '3/4 of a hundredweight' block of wood in the report weighed 38 kgs.
